Transformative Entrepreneurship
Based at Imperial Business School, my research explores how entrepreneurs disrupt the status quo, reshape the rules of the game, and transform how we live and work. Through my research in healthcare, artificial intelligence, military, and climate change, I unpack the transformative strategies entrepreneurs leverage to influence stakeholders and drive systemic change, enabling their innovations and intentions to take root, grow, or falter.
Currently, I focus on how outsider innovators and those on the periphery overcome structural barriers to novelty, contesting what we take for granted, and convincing insiders to absorb, accommodate, and alter the established order. As part of this, I examine the incumbent-challenger dynamics and how status becomes entrenched, elevated, or eroded.
My research has won multiple awards and has been praised by leading scholars for its rigor, relevance, and novelty.
